The part that really annoys me is that my wife had the same problems with the Charge 2 and was given a direct link to the Fitbit App so she could download it. I wanted to use Fitbit even after the problems she had so that I could be “compatible” with her. When I had the same problems, I tried to get the link from Fitbit support, because I had lost it, not realising that I would need it again, no one at Fitbit knew anything about a direct link. After trying the Surge and Ionic with no success, I went out and purchased a Samsung Gear Fit 2 and it worked immediately with no problems, and It even allows access to all reports directly on the watch and has superior messaging and SOS abilities far above any Fitbit.

The thought then occurred to me that maybe because the Surge and Ionic were later models than the Charge 2 that there was some “upgrade” that was causing problems, because the Charge 2 did connect but we had problems downloading the App.

On the basis of this I purchased a Flex 2 so I would have some compatibility with my wife’s charge 2. It still did not connect, apparently needing a dongle For what reason, only God knows. Voila, it connected with the dongle, but I could still not get. I finally gave up in disgust, vowing to never again buy any Fitbit product. When my wife’s Charge 2 bites the dust, she will not buy another Fitbit either. I am a software engineer, so I can see just how poorly run your software department is.

Any search will show that I am not alone with these issues concerning Fitbit, and you have done nothing to address it.
